Complete, automated system for leak verification of fuel tanks, lines and accessories — by nitrogen injection with pressure-drop control. PLC, LCD touchscreen display, compliant with CFR 40 §1066.985.
The EV 90 is the NAPRO system for automated leak verification of fuel tanks, lines, ducts and accessories. The operating principle consists of nitrogen injection into the system under test, followed by controlled monitoring of pressure drop over a set time period — precisely indicating the presence of leaks.
The entire process is controlled by a PLC, with an operating interface on an LCD touchscreen display that guides the operator through an interactive step-by-step menu. The result is presented clearly as Leak-tight or Not Leak-tight, with a record of current pressure and control time. The system is mounted on a wheeled console and includes a nitrogen cylinder base and a connection hose to the fill nozzle.
The operator connects the EV 90 hose to the fill nozzle of the tank or system under test. The interactive menu on the touchscreen display guides every step: pressurisation with nitrogen to the test pressure, stabilisation and monitoring of pressure drop over the configured time.
The PLC compares the measured pressure variation against the limits configured for the application and automatically presents the final result — eliminating the need for manual data interpretation by the operator and reducing the total leak test time.
Leak verification of tanks, lines and accessories during the development and homologation of fuel systems.
Support for evaporative emissions control tests (ORVR — Onboard Refueling Vapor Recovery) that require prior leak verification of the system.
Integration into production lines for end-of-assembly leak verification of fuel tanks and fuel systems.
