Headlight Tester
Regloscope — Vehicle Inspection

Verification of headlight beam aim and focus during vehicle inspection — integrated with the GIVE system for guided procedure and automatic recording of the result in the inspection report.

Headlight aim verification during the inspection sequence

The headlight tester (regloscope) is used to verify whether vehicle headlights are correctly aimed — both the vertical beam position (height) and horizontal direction. Misaligned headlights can dazzle oncoming drivers and reduce the driver's own visibility, making this one of the most important safety checks in a vehicle inspection.

The NAPRO regloscope is integrated with the GIVE system, which guides the operator through the correct positioning of the equipment relative to each headlight, automatically records the measurement and compares the result against the regulatory limits defined for each vehicle category and headlight type.

  • Verification of vertical and horizontal headlight aim
  • Integration with GIVE
  • Guided procedure for correct positioning
  • Applicable to low and high beam
  • Configurable regulatory limits
  • Results recorded in the inspection report

Headlight inspection process

Positioning

GIVE guides the operator in positioning the regloscope in front of each headlight at the correct distance and height for measurement.

Measurement

The regloscope reads the headlight beam aim — vertical deviation (height) and horizontal deviation (direction) — for each headlight.

Result and report

GIVE automatically compares the measurements against the limits and records the pass/fail outcome in the inspection report.
