Combustible Gas Detector
GNV / LPG — Vehicle Inspection

Detection of combustible gas leaks (GNV/LPG) in vehicles with alternative fuel systems during vehicle inspection — integrated with the GIVE system for guided inspection points and automatic recording in the report.

Mandatory inspection for vehicles converted to GNV or LPG

Vehicles converted to run on natural gas (GNV) or liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) require specific inspection of the installation to detect possible leaks in connections, pipes, valves and cylinders. The NAPRO combustible gas detector guides the operator through the mandatory inspection points and automatically records the result of each point in the GIVE inspection report.

The sensor detects concentrations of combustible gases at very low levels, providing a safety margin appropriate for periodic vehicle inspection. When a leak is detected, the equipment issues an alert and records the non-conformity in the report.

Main inspection points

Engine compartment

Inspection of connections, pipes and regulator in the engine compartment, where most of the gas installation components are located.

Fuel system

Check for leaks along the high-pressure piping from the cylinder to the reducer and other distribution connections.

Boot / cylinder area

Inspection of the GNV/LPG cylinder area and its connections, valves and cylinder compartment ventilation.
