The NAPRO sound level meter for vehicle inspection is integrated with the GIVE system and performs the sound measurement following the protocol defined for each type of vehicle — light vehicles, motorcycles or heavy vehicles — with specific criteria for each category according to current regulations.
The measurement is conducted at a standardised distance from the vehicle's exhaust at a set engine speed. GIVE guides the operator through the procedure and automatically acquires the measurement at the right moment, eliminating the possibility of operator error. The result is compared against the regulatory limit and recorded in the inspection report.
