Controlled environment for gravimetric weighing of particulate matter filters — compliance with ABNT NBR 6601:2021. Precise temperature and humidity control, integrated analytical balance and NAPRO® sample management software.
The Particulate Weighing Chamber PM-020 is a climate-controlled unit designed to meet the requirements of Chapter 4.7 of ABNT NBR 6601:2021, which specifies the environmental conditions for the weighing room and balance used in the determination of particulate matter in vehicle emissions testing.
The system maintains temperature and humidity within the limits required by the standard with high accuracy, ensuring traceability of all weighings. The chamber includes a high-precision analytical balance, high-efficiency filtration system, PLC and computer running NAPRO® software for sample control and recording.
The chamber maintains the internal environment strictly within the limits required by the standard. The conditioning system integrates a temperature conditioner, an air circulator of 12 m³/h and a heater/humidifier of 1 kW, operating coordinately by the PLC to ensure stability even with variations in the external environment.
The temperature and relative humidity sensors carry traceable RBC calibration, ensuring the metrological validity of records. Required installation environment conditions are: temperature 15–30 °C and relative humidity 40–80%.
The system includes a PLC and a Windows computer with real-time readings from the chamber and the balance. The NAPRO® software performs sample control and monitoring, with report generation, data archiving and Wi-Fi communication for sending tests and results.
Directly meets the requirements of ABNT NBR 6601:2021 for gravimetric measurement of particulate matter in vehicle emissions testing.
Controlled environment for the development, homologation and validation of exhaust aftertreatment systems in light and heavy-duty vehicles.
Metrological infrastructure for vehicle and component certification testing requiring traceability of particulate filter weighing.
