NAPRO Particulate Weighing Chamber PM-020

Controlled environment for gravimetric weighing per NBR 6601:2021

The Particulate Weighing Chamber PM-020 is a climate-controlled unit designed to meet the requirements of Chapter 4.7 of ABNT NBR 6601:2021, which specifies the environmental conditions for the weighing room and balance used in the determination of particulate matter in vehicle emissions testing.

The system maintains temperature and humidity within the limits required by the standard with high accuracy, ensuring traceability of all weighings. The chamber includes a high-precision analytical balance, high-efficiency filtration system, PLC and computer running NAPRO® software for sample control and recording.

  • Compliance with ABNT NBR 6601:2021 — Ch. 4.7
  • Temperature: 20 to 30 °C, accuracy ±1 °C
  • Relative humidity: 30% to 70%, accuracy ±3%
  • Filtration efficiency: 99.99%
  • High-precision analytical balance included
  • Sensors with traceable RBC calibration
  • NAPRO® software with reports and Wi-Fi communication
  • Internal stainless steel structure, polycarbonate windows

Precision environmental control

The chamber maintains the internal environment strictly within the limits required by the standard. The conditioning system integrates a temperature conditioner, an air circulator of 12 m³/h and a heater/humidifier of 1 kW, operating coordinately by the PLC to ensure stability even with variations in the external environment.

The temperature and relative humidity sensors carry traceable RBC calibration, ensuring the metrological validity of records. Required installation environment conditions are: temperature 15–30 °C and relative humidity 40–80%.

Construction and access

  • Internal stainless steel structure — contamination-resistant and easy to clean
  • External cladding in painted sheet metal
  • Polycarbonate windows with access port for sample handling
  • Sampling and work door: 400 × 500 mm
  • Dedicated microbalance space: 400 × 500 × 340 mm
  • Internal LED lighting

NAPRO® control software

The system includes a PLC and a Windows computer with real-time readings from the chamber and the balance. The NAPRO® software performs sample control and monitoring, with report generation, data archiving and Wi-Fi communication for sending tests and results.
